Overview

DESCRIPTION

Screens allow for adjusting light, temperature and humidity for improved climate control. Moveable screens can be opened and closed, depending on outside weather conditions and crop requirements. Screens can be installed in any type of greenhouse and in any climate.

Thermal screens are manufactured from a combination of polyester textiles that have a fine layer of aluminium interwoven with absorbent acrylic string. They balance the ambient temperature of the greenhouses to maintain the best temperature levels for the crops.

The system makes use of solar energy to retain heat in cold weather for substantial energy savings.

TYPES OF THERMAL SCREENS

  • Indoor screens: For greenhouses, although they can be used in farms, public enclosures
    (exhibition halls, restaurants, terraces, etc.). Open, closed or wind-up
  • Outdoor screens: For crops that require aeration and must be protected from adverse weather conditions.
    Also useful for sports stadiums, swimming pools, and other enclosures. Open, closed or wind-up
  • Photoperiod screens: For roofs and sides
  • Roof screens (opening to 90%): Allow indoor and outdoor conditions to be alternated

ENERGY-SAVING SCREENS

These transparent screens are designed to retain the maximum amount of heat with minimum light loss.
They are ideal for the production of vegetable crops in colder climates.

 

ENERGY-SAVING AND SOLAR REFLECTION SCREENS 

These screens offer a pre-determined shade level (by model) to reflect solar energy outward that is not required for the crop. When closed at night, they retain heat.

The higher the screen’s aluminium content, the greater the shade level and the higher the energy saving.

 

SHADE SCREENS

  • Indoor shade screens: These screens consist of a polyester film ribbon, aluminium strips and filaments for securing to the structure. The aluminium strips reflect more than 90% of the solar radiation. The number of strips determines the effectiveness of the shade and ventilation capacity of the screen since hot air flows through the aluminium bands.During the day, it’s possible to reduce radiation and high temperatures. At night, the screens reflect the plants’ long-wave radiation inward.
  • Outdoor shade screens: Protect the plants against as high solar radiation, wind, hail and heavy rain. The outdoor shade systems can be installed in fixed or retracting (moveable) mode. These screens are reinforced with a strong plastic wire to secure them to the system.
